These terms are an agreement between you and Digital Summit LLC ("we", "us") covering your use of the Tinkr AI mobile app and this website. By using Tinkr AI you accept them.
Read this part if you read nothing else. Tinkr AI gives you repair guidance produced by an AI system. It can be wrong. It is not a substitute for a qualified technician, and you are responsible for deciding whether a repair is safe for you to attempt. When Tinkr tells you to stop, stop.
Tinkr AI examines photos, video, audio and descriptions you provide, asks follow-up questions, and produces a likely diagnosis with step-by-step repair guidance, parts and tools. It is an informational tool. It does not inspect your item in person and it does not guarantee that a recommended repair will resolve your problem.
Repairs carry real risk — electricity, gas, stored energy, pressure, heat, sharp edges, heavy and unstable loads, and moving parts among them. You agree that:
You must be at least 13 years old to use Tinkr AI. If you are under 18, use it only with the involvement of a parent or guardian.
You may use Tinkr AI with or without an account. If you create one, you are responsible for keeping access to it secure. You keep ownership of the photos, video, audio and text you upload. You grant us the limited licence needed to store that content and to process it — including sending it to our AI providers, OpenAI and Google, with your permission — for the sole purpose of producing your diagnosis and repair guidance and operating the service. Neither we nor they use your content to train AI models.
You agree not to upload content you have no right to share, content depicting other people without their consent, or anything unlawful. You agree not to use Tinkr AI to build a competing service, to scrape or resell its output, to reverse engineer it, or to interfere with its operation or security.
Your first repair is free. After that a repair is unlocked in one of three ways, and you are never charged without choosing one:
Prices are in US dollars and may vary by country. Tax is added where it applies.
Payment is charged to your Apple Account or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. The Monthly and Annual plans renew automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before that period ends. You can manage or cancel a subscription in your Apple Account settings or in Google Play Subscriptions after purchase — not inside Tinkr. Cancelling stops the next renewal; the plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and Apple and Google do not refund the unused part of a period.
A repair is charged once. If the first fix does not solve the problem, Tinkr keeps investigating the same repair at no extra charge — a failed fix is evidence, and it rules causes out. Refunds for purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are handled by Apple and Google under their own policies, not by us.
Tinkr may name parts and tools and link to retailers or to repair videos published by other people. We do not sell those items, we do not host that content, and we do not endorse it. Your dealings with any retailer or third-party publisher are between you and them. Confirm that a part matches your exact model before buying it — a model or serial number Tinkr reads from a photo can be misread.
We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of Tinkr AI. We aim to keep it available but we do not promise uninterrupted service, and features that depend on outside providers may be interrupted by those providers.
Tinkr AI is provided "as is" and "as available". To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that a diagnosis will be accurate or that a repair will succeed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Digital Summit LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, property damage, or personal injury arising from your use of Tinkr AI or from any repair you attempt. Our total liability for any claim relating to Tinkr AI will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty US dollars.
Some jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion of certain warranties or the limitation of liability for personal injury caused by negligence. Where that is the case, the exclusions and limitations above apply only to the extent the law permits, and nothing in these terms limits any right you have that cannot lawfully be limited.
You agree to indemnify Digital Summit LLC against claims, losses and expenses arising from your breach of these terms, from content you upload, or from a repair you perform.
You may stop using Tinkr AI at any time and delete your account and all your data from within the app. We may suspend or terminate access if these terms are breached or if an account is used in a way that endangers the service or other people.
Tinkr AI is distributed through the App Store. Apple is not a party to these terms and has no responsibility for Tinkr AI or for providing support or maintenance for it. Apple is a third-party beneficiary of these terms and may enforce them against you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, United States, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. The courts located in Missouri have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from them, except where the law of your country of residence gives you the right to bring proceedings in your local courts.
If we change these terms materially, we will update the effective date above and give notice in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Tinkr AI after that means you accept the updated terms.
